William Smith

I met William Smith at a Lone Pine Film Festival and asked him who was the toughest actor he ever worked with. He told me without hesitation Rod Taylor. "He just liked to fight." That lead to a discussion of this film. When I mentioned that I was skeptical that Richard Harris could take him (WM) so easily, William Smith replied "yeah, but the director kept me on for the whole six weeks of filming to keep Rod Taylor & Richard Harris from killing each other!"
