Does anyone out there know where i can get this great masterpiece of a film on DVD, i love this movies and think it is one of the best films ever. I would prefer to know where it is available in the UK, although if it is available on the internet i would buy it from America or other places in the world.

Sorry. I thought you meant "The Day of the Wolves" TV movie made in '73 with Rick Jason, Richard Egan, Jan Murray & Martha Hyer which was not a western.

Yes, that is the one I was talking about,I don't know why it is in the westerns set because it is not a Western, but yes, I am talking about the Richard Egan one with the Bearded Men with Martha Hyer. Sorry if I confused you.

Ok, I did manage to find the 50 Gunslingers DVD box set last night at our local store for $19.95. They are currently going for a total of $22.49 with shipping on Ebay. The movie "Day of the Wolves" is "definitely" included in the set. I checked to make sure by watching some of it on TV. This is great to finally find this rare movie on DVD. Thanks for making the information available. The DVD is produced by "Mill Creek Entertainment" their website is - www.digital1stop.com

I got it on a 20 movie Western set called Mean Guns. The people in Hollywood seem to think any movie set between the Mississippi River and the California border is automaticaly a Western, even if it's set in modern times. When the hype for No Country For Old Men started they claimed it was a Western. I've seen video stores put Coogan's Bluff in with the Westerns, even though the movie takes place in 1969 and 95% of the film is set in New York City. If you think about it though, the original plot probably came from some obscure Western somewhere, at least the part about the just-fired lawman saving the day.
