The Scarf...

Can someone explain...

At the end of the movie, the killer tries to strangle Jane with the red and black scarf.

But...

We already know that the police have the red and black scarf in their possession, because they found it on the body of an earlier victim and held it up as evidence when they were lecturing the students. So the killer would have to have bought another scarf.

Since the colour of the scarf has no special significance for the killer and he already knows that the police are looking for the person who wore the original red and black scarf, why would he go and buy an identical scarf?

Why not buy a green scarf and really confuse them. LOL

Someone should write a giallo where all the victims are named after beer.

They could have characters called Susan Carlsberg, Jane Guinness, Stella Artois, Davida Kronenbourg and Sally Newcastlebrownale. :)

Franz was strangling Jane with STEFANO'S scarf!!!

He took that particular scarf off of Stefano's dead body as it fell forward through Dani's doorway. Note that the scarf was still not on Stefano when he was being buried the next morning.

There seems to be a difference in scarves. One was red on black; the killer's was black on red.
