I'd say Coffy is...however for some reason, Foxy Brown is the more notorious one, I'm guessing anyway...Foxy Brown made it into I Love the 70's and Coffy didn't...personally I think Coffy is the better movie. Now from a man's angle there's stuff like Black Caeser and Hell up in Harlem, but I didn't care much for them. Lead women in blaxploitations always seem smarter than the men, their causes more just.

Coffy is the best.... I also dont know why foxy gets more run, maybe its just the name. Coffy is spectacular!

It should be between Coffy and Foxy Brown.

Both empower the black woman.

Both show a powerful, beautiful, "black amazon," striking blows against the man.

Both show the black drug dealer as just being a stooge for the white ones (which is what they really are) -- dirty and evil but still just a stooge. This is in contrast to the over-the-top, mafia beating, gang of the "New Jack City" type that came in later.

I'll give the prize to Foxy Brown for giving us an example of what blacks could do if they worked together e.g. when Foxy gets together with black militants to strike back.

But, I love Coffy too.

It's not the best, but I recommend Willie Dynamite.

It's funny.

Now that I've seen them, I'd also like to add 'Bucktown' and 'Across 110th Street.'

The Pam Grier ones are great, but a few awesome lesser known ones are Brotherhood of Death and The Human Tornado.
