GEORGE LUCAS RIPPED OFF THIS MOVIE...

Hi,

I watched the Crazies today .. its an awesome movie . . but one thing I really noticed is that the military guys in the white suits with the gas masks really reminded me of storm troopers... the way they acted was exactly like them . . the dialogue they had was like them . . they wore white and a storm troopers helmet kinda resembles a gas mask sorta . . they got their asses smoked by *beep* up civilians . . just like how storm troopers are defeated by the rebels who are just plain guys . . military guys and soldiers should be able to hold up against crazy people or "rebels" .. plus there was a *beep* load of army dudes just like the storm troopers . . their voices were all alike . . like storm troopers . . and they basically were more or less a symbol . . they didn't have individual identities . . just like storm troopers. ..

Lucas had to have seen this ....

Not as retarded as your failure to puctuate.

I know you are, but what am I?

reply

That's what we call a typo. No excuse for lack of PUNCTUATION... assclown.

I know you are, but what am I?

reply

oh...

how old are you two fellas'..?

reply

Please, don't get involved.

I know you are, but what am I?

reply

Jizz, that was rude.

reply

Jeez, I meant to say jeez.

These two idiots are typical of the juvenile retards that plague the internet. Good call on their ages, no doubt under 21. No one under 21 should be allowed internet access. And maybe not even then. . . .

reply

[deleted]

Hey now, not everyone under 21 is juvenile. Some of us learned how to talk to others on the internet without resorting to ad hominem attacks.

I LOL'ed at that comment, for its ferociousness and not the typo itself.

Idiot the crazies was released in 1973 so that means he had probably been planning it since 71 or 72. Lucas did not make Star Wars untill 1977 get it straight dude.

true.true...

No your wrong that whole concept was developed in 1971 by Lucas for THX 1138.

Thank you tommyuk! I scrolled through this whole thread confident that somebody must have corrected this idiot. I almost thought that I was gonna have the pleasure but at the very bottom was your post.

You would think that before someone goes posting accusations of plagiarism on IMDb, that person could do a little research. A simple Google search on some key words probably would have taken no more than 5 minutes of his time.

He designed storm troopers before this movie came out.

Five years before it came out?

reply

yeah i don't agree with you one bit...

reply

Ridiculous topic.

Behold The UZUMAKI!

reply

don't you all think that after awhile it's all been done before. i'm sure that you might "ripoff" something intierly (SP) on accident.

reply

Just to throw this out there, Ralph Maquairie designed the storm trooper, not lucas.

reply

You're a moron.

Aside from the inept soldiers dressed in white, I thought The Crazies shared some eerily similar traits with Star Wars. It had civilians rebelling against a perceived greater evil. One of the civilians looked a LOT to me like Han Solo...weird, maybe just a coincidence, but still...

And one of the rebel girls looked a LOT like a young Sissy Spacek, who any real Star Wars fan knows was the original choice to play Princess Leia.

Anyways, just my two cents...

He didn't ripoff anything

reply

[deleted]

That's not true, ganstaman.

reply

Sorry man, I don't buy that. The whole idea of "faceless minions" has been in scores of movies since the dawn of film and before that in litrature. The fact that the troops are in white NBC suits is handy for the conspiracy theorists but that's about it...

reply

Yeah. the storm troopers were ripped off the Storm troopers of the S.S... the suits were not all that original either

So,if you sleep until you're 18,Ah, think of the suffering you're gonna miss.

reply

I thought the exact same thing

reply

the first page of this thread was incredible. then you guys had to have a serious discussion. jizz/jeez.

This is possibly the single most idiotic post I've ever read on this forum.

reply

Who cares? Star Wars was crap any way.
