shareIt was banned in China in the 70's, during Cultural Revolution. By then, the Chinese government was hostile and wary to every other nations. They said the film was insulting the Chinese people and PLA. Of course, not many Chinese people knew that film exist, because China was a totalitarian county by then. In fact, it was banned in Hong Kong although we were ruled by UK in the 70s, but the British didn't want to provoke the communist.
