"Charley Varrick" Script on the Internet -- Reveals a Couple of Missing Scenes

I recently found a screenplay for Charley Varrick on the internet...I trust you can find it too, if you look.

Interesting: for the most part, the script and the movie are almost a perfect match. Much of what was written ...was shot.

But here are two revelations in the script:

ONE:

How did Molly kill Harman? Director Don Siegel cuts away from "Molly" torturing and beating Harman Sullivan...Charley Varrick's traitorous younger bank robbing associate..in Varrick's trailer. And eventually Charley enters the trailer after Molly has left and finds Harman...dead. But how?

The script reveals: "Molly has stabbed Harman about 100 times."

TWO:

Miss Sybil Fort.

Modern day folks just can't seem to buy Walter Matthau was ladies man enough to bed "Miss Sybil Fort" on one night's acquaintance.

The script lays out this relationship better.

For one thing, it turns out that Miss Fort accompanies her mob banker boss Maynard Boyle, to the motel near the robbed bank. They have a post-sex scene together at the motel.

For another, in the script, Charley Varrick and Miss Fort spend a lot more time talking and getting to know each other. Varrick has lured Miss Fort into his friendly clutches at her apartment, with two dozen roses, she notes: "7 years I've been with Maynard Boyle and he's never given me one rose."

Thus it seems pretty clear that Walter Matthau is at least equal in middle-aged sex appeal to John Vernon(Maynard Boyle) and that a woman who works for the mob like Miss Fort....will take her sexual opportunities as they come.

The rest of the script...is just like the movie.
