Just watched this again today. OK, so it's not the best Carry On by quite a margin but there were two brilliant scenes with Patsy that just creased me up and are classic moments for the series. First, when the Mayoral entourage is attempting to creep silently through the maternity ward and she drops a purseful of medicine bottles on the floor. Second, she's sitting quietly in the kitchen, hears her husband coming and turns the radio on loud, knowing that it really annoys him. Patsy is an unsung heroine of Carry On.

She had me in stitches, just the way she pursed her lips or rolled her sad eyes of hers. Keep an eye on her and with just a bit of gurning she steals the scene, especially when her husband is blustering about something.

You start to realise she is quite the put-upon wife, possibly alcoholic, which brings a touch of pathos to the character.
