Tre Fratelli and Graham Faulkner

I am a college teacher in US and love the film Brother Sun Sister Moon very much. I often showed this film to the students and I am always amazed that they are inspired with this film and especially Graham Faulkner's fresh and wholehearted dedication of acting for Francis. This film is a very good introductory film to know Francis' way of life and the eternal classics for those young people who have struggled to find True Self with the Ultimate and love of nature. I am very glad to hear that Franco Zeffirelli is shooting the sequel film of BSSM, Tre Fratelli. But in the US, we have not heard anything about Tre Fratelli. Could you give us the most updated information on Tre Fratelli? Since you live in Europe, it would be easier to get the newest information.

Also in regard to Graham Faulkner, I am one of the people who feel so sad as he has disappeared in the film world. I have heard many contradicted informations about Graham; someone says he became a monk; someone says he is working at a private bank's mail department and cannot wait for retirement (if someone knows the name of bank please let us know); someone says his daughter is working in New York. If anyone who lives in UK can find what he is doing and how to contact him, it would be greatly appreciated. Since so many people have been inspired by Brother Sun Sister Moon and Faulkner's dedicated acting for Francis, we have to create some network to interview with Faulkner or website dedicated to Faulkner. I saw his latest film, Shroud of a nightingale, 1984, I was shocked that Faulkner played a very tiny part as a staff nurse just measuring patient's temperature with a very few words!!! It is shame that Faulkner was given such a meaningless part!! Let us continue to discuss how to find Faulkner and the information about Tre Fratelli

Hi I am Graham Faulkners daughter Anna Faulkner I just wanted to let you know that my dad is nearing retirement now and is very much looking forward to it. He never became an alchoholic like some of the rumours say, dad is fine and well and living a very quite life, he gave up acting for many different reasons, but i am really not at liberty to go into great detail as to why. I am not working in New York, I have never even been to america, but i would absolutely love to go. I do feel it is such a shame that dad stopped acting, it is something that is very dear to his heart though still and always will be, and in my eyes he could have become one of the greats, if you do have any specific questions i can always ask him and get back to you.

Many Thanks

Anna

Hi Anna
I hope this is really Anna Faulkner, daughter of Graham Faulkner. I recently purchased the DVD of Brother Sun Sister Moon, which I last saw in a theatre in 1973, and showed it to my 15 year old daughter. We watched it together in amazement. I was overwhelmed and moved to tears by both the story and the performance of Graham Faulkner. I am devastated to learn that Mr. Faulkner is no longer involved in acting or theatre. But I am incredibly grateful for Mr. Faulkner's intense, mesmerizing performance in this role. There is so much in the life of St. Francis that is relevant and inspiring. What a gift this film truly is.

Dear Anna Faulkner:

Thank you for your reply to my message. It is my great honor to talk to you, daughter of Graham Faulkner. I firmly believe that your father's Francesco is one of the greatest art in the film history and of course, my eternal classics for entire life. It is often the case that a religious film tends to fall into a preaching dogma or a philosophical abstraction or exposure of the dark sinful aspects of human nature. However, your father's Francis displays a wonderful blend of spiritual message with beauty of nature, human soul and body. This is a renewed Renaissance art that we often see them in the Florence art such as Michelangelo’s David. This is an amazing harmony of Judeo-Christian message of spirituality in Hebraism with the Hellenistic beauty of human body and nature. Of course, Zeffirelli as a Florentine is the architect of this art, however, without Graham Faulkner’s grace and dignity, this would not have accomplished.
I have sent one private message to you if my questions may be too private. Could you please check with them. Thank you very much
