I saw this film in a theater (believe it or not) in Los Angeles, as well as seeing it on VHS. The curious thing I noticed is that the film keeps cutting away from showing any gore. Is is possible a longer version exists? Might it have been cut to get a tamer rating?

Blackenstein sounds like he’s snoring throughout this movie, and I can understand why.
I will agree with the initial poster here that, aside from some REALLY bad gore effects, this film would hardly rate a PG-13. There are no "actors" in this film, as no one seems to have the talent TO act...
And this film has one of the most anti-climactic endings I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing.
Blaxploitation is just ok at it’s best… Funny/campy/kitschy… This film however, was a solid bomb. Like the worst Ed Wood film. Perhaps worse then the worse Ed Wood film.
