Terrific Fun

The main review on the page for Big Zapper was written in 1999 by a rather humorless individual who just didn't seem to get it.

Pity. I just watched this, and I've got to say it's a minor classic.

Okay, so it's bad. Really bad. Daft, stupid, rubbish. Yes, it's all of those. But it also happens to rank high in the "so bad it's good" category. If you don't laugh out loud, multiple times, when watching this film, then your pulse might have stopped.

I was rolling about at the ridiculous antics of the "Private Eye" and her nympho boyfriend. I also enjoyed how all the grey complexioned Brits had suddenly mastered Kung Fu (which consists of standing with your legs apart, and straightening your fingers with a chop!

So yes, it's awful in every regard but one - ENTERTAINMENT. It was clearly made tongue in cheek - but it's far worse than they even realized, which just makes it better.

As a poor man's gangster movie from the early 70's, this is pretty much as good (bad) as it gets. Don't be a humourless troll, and most definitely don't take this film seriously. It's there to be enjoy.
