A Few Questions

(Spoilers) I've recently watched this film and love it, but I have a couple of questions:

1)At the end, why did they wait until morning to look for Asher? Perhaps, if they had found him during the night, he might have lived?
2)It's been mentioned that a scene or two was deleted regarding Jenny & Stephen; was there another scene deleted between the time of Merlin & Tag's separation and Asher's sending Tag away? There seems to be a lack of flow there.
3)Do you think Jenny settled down with Stephen, even though she was now anti-fox hunting?

No, I haven't read the book; is it still in print? If so, do you know where I can get a copy? Thanks for replying; I was beginning to think no one read this board anymore.

Actually, after your last post, I decided to look it up on Abe books and ordered a copy; it's the one with scenes from the movie on the back. The book is quite good, and the movie did a fairly good job of being faithful to it. Although they would've needed a different actress, I wish they had started out with Jenny as a 14 year old and then as an adult, but they would've needed a longer time to tell the story, which I wish they'd bothered to do!

After reading the book and watching the movie again, I really did not like Kendrick; he should've seen Asher was losing it and not allowed him to go off on his own. Also, if only Jenny hadn't become an "anti" until after Asher's last hunt, she would've been there to get help for her father. But then Rook would've had to rewrite the novel.

Why does Asher not approve of Stephen for Jenny? Even after he tells Stephen he was testing him (therefore being so hard on him) to see if he'd make a good huntsman, I still got the impression that Asher didn't want him for a son-in-law.

BTW, do you own the DVD? Does it have extras?

reply
