USA dvd release, with some PAL specs

VCI just released the movie on dvd... Unfortunately VCI typically uses a PAL digital source of foreign films (instead of the film itself) and interlaces it for NTSC. This keeps the sped-up PAL audio and shorter runtime. Having just got the dvd, that seems to be the case here. The 99 minute runtime is the same as the PAL dvd. Actor Jeremy Kemp's voice is noticeably high-pitched.

IMDB states the USA runtime as 88 minutes. Either a mistake, or the film was edited for USA release.

I have the new DVD release and my copy has a runtime of 99 minutes. The version Netflix is showing has 103 minutes. I can't see that anything has been cut out, so it looks like you're right about the sped-up time. Annoying, but at least there's a Region 1 DVD now available AND in widescreen. The Netflix version was full screen (or what used to be known as full screen when TV screens were square), so I knew I was missing some stuff.

I didn't grow up. I just got taller.
