One of my favorite roles of his. His role is small, but memorable. Testimony to what a great actor he was. I will never forget him in the burning house scene.

He usually lasts a little longer in his other roles, Gunsmoke being where I saw him most and sometimes actually made it to the closing credits.

Not this time!!!

Great actor. He was in my #10 film (BADLANDS) and my #11 film (THE WILD BUNCH).

Love the scene in which Holly's father tells Kit point blank to stay away from her.

I agree. He said it firmly but not loudly. I don't think any actor has delivered lines like that better than Warren Oates. He was one of the first actors who made me realize what "silent strength" means.
