Sorry, couldn't resist that. But the Asphyx does sort of look like Slimer.

I snuck a look at the comments on here prior to watching THE ASPHYX and wondered what was meant about Slimer. Now I know! Yes, the Asphyx does look like a starved Slimer! Kind of a silly looking thing, wasn't it?

I suppose that Slimer was a mutated Asphyx.
Jim Henson could have made them both. Still, both can be creepy at times.
