Pink Floyd!!!

Considering that it was made in 1972-73, which was before Dark Side of the Moon was released, the makers certainly had good taste in music.

When the series was brought over to the US to be shown on PBS, they had to fill out the 50 minutes running length to make a full hour. So they hired a young Anthony Hopkins to provide closing narration. It turns out he was a student of Bronowski's at one time during his college days, though obviously he didn't go into science.

It was another inspired choice. Unfortunately, those narrations are lost somewhere and haven't been seen since the series originally aired in the US in 1974.

I think the mood music in ASCENT OF MAN was very effective, but I only recognized a few pieces -- Barber's ADAGIO FOR STRINGS, Verdi's DIES IRAE, a portion of Beethoven's ODE TO JOY. Where was Pink FLoyd selection?
