Japanese dvd

After much searching I found a very rare copy of the Japanese dvd for this nice movie. Because of the rarity of the title, it is quite costly, but it is literally the ONLY edition in existence that is the uncut, 105 minute version. It's a very nice widescreen print, and features an alternate opening scene. Most of the replaced scenes come past the halfway point, leading up to the climax banquet scenes. The sex doesn't seem to be more graphic, but this version is bloodier, and has some more romantic scenes. I never really understood why this film was so butchered upon video release, but 15 minutes is a huge difference! Anyway the dvd can be watched with either the Italian track, or the English track, the English being the better as all of the principal characters were speaking English during filming. There are removable Japanese subtitles as well. So for fans of this film, I recommend this version. Those dvds available on Amazon are absolute garbage. If you own the old VHS tape there is no need to upgrade with those editions, as the VHS picture quality is actually better!
