The Prime Barrier

Peter refers to the Telepaths' inability to kill as the Prime Barrier.

The way it came off was that this was some kind of biological failsafe. A natural inability to kill or do harm to a living thing. Sort of like Isaac Asimov's Three Rules, they can't even willingly stand aside when someone is about to be harmed.

In the 90's version Adam tells Kevin and Lisa that when he was attacked by a shark he was unable to bring himself to kill it in defense. But the writers seemed to forget that little drawback in the Living Stones when Adam and Megabyte both willingly kill the alien beings at the end.

The reason it seems like a natural phenomenon to me is that on numerous occasions you can see what an inconvenience it is for the gang to be trapped on an alien spaceship, solely because the lone pilot said he'd be killed if he returned home.

Then of course Hsu Tai (sp?) and Andy are unable to stun the aliens who threatend to blow up Andy's home.

Any thoughts?

Andrew and Hsui Tai were to use stun guns on the aliens, but the aliens had tricked them into surrendering; there was no bomb in the Forbes's home. The Tomorrow People can use stunners and defend themselves, but are unble to kill, which John reminds Andrew in the Bubble Skins saga when he stuns Mike and Hsui Tai.
