Stephen Salmon - worst actor ever?

Seriously, how was he ever cast as Kenny in series 1? He had no charisma whatsoever, and his particular brand of "acting" was just laughable. It seemed as if he was reading his lines from cue cards, and that he was seeing them for the first time, even though he wasn't.

It's no wonder that he didn't make it to a second season, or that this was his only acting job. He really does have to be seen to be believed!

No, I think Misako Koba as Hsui Tai was slightly worse than poor Kenny.

She wasn't great, but she wasn't the worse either. There was one scene with PVC (Stephen) and Dean Lawrence (Tyso) and they're meeting Timus for the first time. It's like Dean just barely remembered his line about the swamp.

Nicholas Young mentions in his interview how he was frustrated to always be working with kids who weren't trained actors.

reply

Yeah, he was awful. His thick accent doesn't help, but on top of it it sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles or something.

He wasn't the best.Roger Price did seem to have this habit of just picking random boys off the street and sticking them in the show.

He was pretty awful - I've seen posts excusing his mediocrity because of his age but we can all name a dozen younger child actors who were excellent - Sammie Winmill as Carol was almost as bad but to a 13 year old boy as I was at the time at least she was cute
