I think this would have been a great radio series

I realised this by coincidence, I was watching an episode one day wearing my wireless headphones and went to the kitchen, that's when I was just listening and thought wow the voices and sound effects are all you need from this show.

I don't even pause it anymore if I leave the room.

A lot of cartoons back then would talk the action thru, I.e. Johnny Quest, Superfriends. So I get it. Plus as bad as the animation was in this, it might be preferable.
