Favorite School House Rock cartoon?

mine would have to be Tale of Mr. Morton! It's so cute....oh and I'm Just a Bill

The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

reply

I love them all. My favorites are "No More Kings" (I've always been a history buff!), "Conjunction Junction", "Interplanet Janet", and "Mother Necessity"

"Aloha, Mr. Hand!"

I like Mr. Morton too -- I don't remember that one from when I was a kid, but I've been watching the dvd which I just received as a gift. I just love Schoolhouse Rock. It's got so much character. I think my favorite one has to be "Rufus Xavier Sarsaparilla." It's just insane! I love it!

reply

Oh right now I'm doing that play and I sing Rufus Xavier Sarsparilla and it is very hard! I also sing Conjunction Junction haha.

You can say that I'm one curly fry in the box of the regular

reply

I can't beleive it! I'm doing that play too, and I'm doing that song! It's so fast. It's just one long toungue twister. Unlike those slow songs like "Three is a magic number" and "Mr. Morton."

reply

I did the play last year. I'm sick of the songs now. But if someone gives me just the title I can sing the whole song without thinking.
We didn't do "Mr. Morton."
We did:
A Noun Is A Person, Place Or Thing, Three is a Magic Numbers, Unpack Your Adjectives , I'm Just A Bill, The Preamble, Do The Circulation, Conjunction Junction, Elbow Room, Interplanet Janet, The Great American Melting Pot, Interjections!, and the beginning of 'Electricity, Electricity' where Tom wants us to sing more.

reply

Figure 8.

reply

Shot Heard Round The World
My Hero Zero
Interjections
The one about pronouns
My Adjectives
(can you tell I really like grammer?)

"HEY, WHA'HAPPEND?"

reply

Interjections is my favorite. I also love the Preamble (even though I'm not an American I know the Preamble off by heart!) and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs Here.

I rented this from the library the other night and laughed until I had tears rolling down my cheeks. I think I'll ask for this DVD for Christmas.

reply

Electricity, Electricity

"Where do you think it all comes from, this powerful...Electricity, Electricity!"

reply

I love the one, not sure if I remember the name right cause I just forgot it, but I'm pretty sure it was called 'the Great American Melting Pot'. I also like the Bill one, Conjunction Junction, and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly, Get Your Adverbs Here.

reply

My favorite keeps switching!

I still like all of the originals, but I think I really enjoy "Verb: That's What's Happening!".

I also like "Noun is a Person, Place or Thing, "Conjunction Junction" "I'm Just a Bill" and "Three is a Magic Number".

BTW,

Did anyone else like any of the songs from "Schoolhouse Rock ROCKS! ?
I was disappointed with many of the performances. You just can't beat the originals.

reply

The one I have caught in my head is unpack your adjectives. I listened to it like, 8 years ago and I remember it now. Also figure 8 I remember.

reply

Mine all time favorite is the Telegram one about the Nervous System.
Then after that are Interjections, Nouns, Preamble, Check is in the mail, and Mother Necessity.

reply

I always liked "rufus xavier saspirilla" the best, but my other favorites were "conjuction junction" and "interjections".

The only 2 videos I ever saw were multiplication rock and Grammer rock. I've seen clips from other videos, because back in the Day ABC showed them after every cartoon.
I've only seen this a few times but every now and then the Toon Disney channel will show one after a cartoon.

The most Annoying song in my opinion was the "VERB! thats what's happening!" I HATED that song.

reply

'Cause we were sufferin' til sufferage! That's my all time fave. Next I'd have be upstanding for Figure 8, Conjunction Junction, Three Is A Magic Number, and The Preamble. I find the Three Ring Circus kind of amusing, considering it is a three ring circus in Washington these days.

"You better have a payin’ dwarf underneath you."

reply

LOLLY, LOLLY, LOLLY GET YOUR ADVERBS HERE. All others pale by comparrison.

reply

Conjuction Juction beats them all.

reply

I forgot about "The Great American Melting Pot"

Kindness...A little bit of it goes a very long way.
