I despise cop shows of today being so over-dramatized and over-hyped. The 70's brought us more realism and the stories were a lot more interesting.

I love the variety. Cop shows look alike today. Back then, no two shows were alike. Adam-12, Hawaii Five O, Kojak, Police Story, Streets of San Francisco..... All different.

shareYou can't make shows like the 70's did. Not just crime dramas either. Sanford and Son, All in the Family would never make it past today's PC sensors.
Imagine the star of a show today calling some guy a "fruit" who wasn't macho enough.
