It appears that Shout Factory is not planning to release any of the rest of the Police Story seasons. The first season sales did not meet their expectations. I have suggested via their Facebook page that they make the rest of the series available "on demand". They seemed luke-warm to that idea though. You, like me, want to see the rest of this series, let them know there's a market for them.

It seems to me that the first season is often the one that is still finding it's footing and gaining its audience so naturally (sometimes, not always) it would take a bit more to sell. I'm sure it would help if this show was airing in syndication nationally.

I bought a set through someone on Ioffer and generally it is pretty good. Certainly watchable. The Joe Forrester was an optional DVD. I would like to find the stand alone TV movies they made in the 1980s.

I think that you will find this set to be completely watchable
shareCoincidence? I've just recently started into Season 3 this week - almost no problems at all (one episode in Season 2 had recurring freezes but the rest of the disc and series has been playing fine. It's a real privilege to have access to five seasons of this classic.
