When the contestant needed to match everybody...


In those situations when it came down to the contestant needing to match every celebrity to win or tie, it always struck me as strange to see the celebrities checking each others' answers (as they sometimes did)...and STILL saying something different! I wonder whether they were paying attention to the contestants' scores, since they didn't seem to realize the player depended on them all giving the same answer.

It was especially bad when it came down to the last panelist and they gave a joke answer instead of trying to match. (Patti Deutsch seemed to be the worst when it came to that...)

I think Patti was hoping some executive producer from another show would see how funny she was (not) and give her a job with decent pay. So she couldn't care less about matching answers with contestants, but the attempt at humor was more important to her.

Keep in mind that her husband was a comedy writer, but I have no idea if he was funny or not.
