Most likely, if the stories were to remain true to the books, then they would probably make more sense. When stories are edited to fit the views of "suits," they lose something. On another note, is it more authentic to move Father Brown around to different situations or is it more authentic to have multiple murders occur multiple times in the same small village and environs as in Midsummer Murders.
