Joe Cool segment

Yes this segment doesn't last long enough. Actually last night I went through all 4 of the Peanuts DVDs I have searching for this song (not remembering exactly what special it was on). I even went through A Boy Named Charlie Brown a second time thinking I missed it when skimming through it. Here it was on my Great Pumpkin DVD as an added feature. Anyway when I hear the segment it takes me back, whether or not I actually saw it when I was a kid. In order to get what I'm talking about you have to see and hear it I guess.

The "Joe Cool" segment is great.

Agreed - the segment is genius, most of all because of the groovy tune complementing Snoopy's strut. It's not the instrumental piece by the Vince Guaraldi Trio, but a looser, funkier tune with vocals. Does anyone out there know how or where to get this song!?!?!

The music reminds one of the tunes in Bill Cosby's old Fat Albert show (Herbie Hancock-ish) - and - the vocals are reminiscent of those 'Schoolhouse Rock' animated segments from old-school Sesame Street episodes.

It's the track, "Joe Cool (vocal)." I have it and the version is very slightly different -- the line "checkin' all the kiddies up and down" is sung a little differently and they segue into the Joe Cool supermarket song from "There's No Time for Love, CB."

Yeah, that segment was great. Gotta love Joe Cool's groovy theme song!
