jeee-ah....

there's a cozy, homelike feeling i get deep down whenever i pop this in the vcr. though it remains cynical to the core, the mood of this film is light and pleasant. i'm not familiar with thurber's original sharp as nails wit. i havent read thurber since freshman english, but i do remember those quirky lennon-like drawings of his. those scribbles were a great addition to this film, and they make the last 10 minutes a real treat. the cast is just great. the plot may leave some wanting more, but the dialogue is fun to listen to, and it hits the spot if youre in the mood for a neil simon or a gene saks. an over-all above-average dramedy with exceptional performances. 8 out of 10.

If you're not familiar with Thurber's "original sharp as nails wit" then how do you know that it WAS sharp as nails?

This movie was just bizarre....but I loved it. That is all. A guilty pleasure!
