similar to Black Christmas??

Is this a slasher/thriller movie? It sounds alot like the 1974 slasher Black Christmas with the killer in the house!

reply

It is more of a scary,drama/thriller movie then a slasher type.
The Drama is as much in your mind as it is in physical action.
More eery i would say, but very very good.

Thanks for your reply! But does it still have some slasher qualities like an unseen killer, killer point of views, and some scenes of the killer stalking the woman? If so could you give me a description of the scenes? Thanks!

reply

Yes it is more of an unseen killer, as it is more what is put on your
head by the movie then you see in a graphic sense on screen.

It is her constantly searching for her sister & running into strange
things along the way that implies she may not be ok, then there is a
great conclusion at the end in the fnal scene.

It is more from her point of view, but you do see it from the killer's
ppint of view, although you don't know who the killer is.

I remember this movie as a kid and it just creeped the bejeebers out of me. Thinking back, I scarely remember anything about it except that she was in the middle of nowhere alone, it was raining, and she discovers that someone has cut the phone lines. And it's weird that you mention Black Christmas because both these movies gave me that same kind of feeling of being psychologically creeped out. These are both on my top ten list of creepest movies. These and Elizabeth as Lizzie Borden...well now that's another story for another day!

Nice of you to spoil the ending of Black Christmas......

reply

Nice of you to wait 37 years to watch it, along with not being familiar with urban legends

reply

Black Christmas shows the killer going into the attic of the house from the very beginning. They don't wait til the end of the film to let you know,
so the poster didn't spoil anything.

INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!

A bit of phone menace in this one and 'Black Christmas' which I always enjoy.
