Liz is beautiful (of course) but the movie itself --

-- leaves much to be desired.

It plays like a good, tight, 30 minute episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents stretched out to 73 minutes.

We're talking a LOT of padding and filler here.

It is a version of a Boris Karloff Presents episode which lasted for an hour. So the story was used to being a prolonged atmospheric piece. But that gives the viewer more time to look at Elizabeth Montgomery and appreciate that really good rainstorm going on. Also I enjoyed the shots of San Francisco and Monterey which always look good on film.
