USA DVD RELEASE?
Anyone know when this will be released in the states? This movie rocked!!!

Actually, I just received a Brazillian DVD, Region Free, from a terrific seller on Ebay. It's not a bootleg and it works on my Sony DVD player just fine. The same seller also has Vampire Circus, which I just ordered. Check it out:

MGM has remastered the film in HD and it looks incredible, better than any foreign DVD release. Unfortunetly, it's only airing on Monsters HD and there is no Region 1 DVD in sight. It would be a shame to waste such a beautiful new transfer with no DVD release, but there's alway hope they'll put it out.
shareI got tired of waiting for this title, and for other favorite films to be released on DVD in region 1. I purchased the region 2 DVD for "Twins Of Evil" by Carlton Visual Entertainment, and I am happy with it. There's also a legit, region free DVD for "Twins Of Evil" that was made in Brazil, but the film is presented in full screen.
Of course I had to purchase a region free DVD player first, but it was well worth it and now I can enjoy my favorite movies even if they haven't been released in my region of the world. Toshiba and Philips are offering region free DVD players for under $50.00. When reading the description for a region free DVD player, make sure it says it will play all PAL DVDS.
Now I no longer have to wait for "The Quatermass Xperiment," "Island Of Terror," "Tatie Danielle," "My American Cousin," etc. to be released on DVD in region 1. I can also purchase a copy of "Quatermass And The Pit" at a much lower price than the terribly high prices for the out of print Anchor Bay disc.
A proper Region 1 DVD release of this film is certainly long overdue.

Be patient....it will come, hammer films pop up all the time on dvd as video rights change hands. i NEVER thought the Gorgon would get released, than sony ent. busted out a 4 film 2-disc set with a gorgeous new transfer of it included. Agreed this one is taling a while but if theres one thing i know, dont pay a ridiculous amount of money for a lackluster e-bay bootleg cuz a legit region 1 copy will eventually be available. I know fools who spent upwards of $100 on bootlegs for movies like The Wizard, Monster Squad, and Cloak and Dagger cuz they thought these movies would never get a dvd release....now they are in the $4 bin at wal mart.
