Where was it shot?

Filming location list several Mississipp towns.

It is listed under filming locations as Oxford, and Tupelo.

It was almost all shot in Itawamba County, just east of Tupelo and Lee County. The courthouse was in the tiny town of Oakland, Mississippi, in Itawamba County.

The producers were kind enough to provide a local premiere of the movie in Tupelo; I think it might have been at the County Library. I saw it then (and never realized that Boo Radley was up there on the screen).

A few scenes were also shot in Jacinto, MS. If you go to the old country store across from the courthouse, the owner has a poster up showcasing the scenes of Jacinto.
