Any similar 70's films

No, but there's an interesting U.S. film from 1962 called "Advise and Consent."
(Charles Laughton's last film.) It's about the workings of the U.S. Senate--but it's more a character study of the people involved. And at the end, of course, the gay guy...it's really interesting, though. Even if you're not into politics!


I didn't think you needed United Kingdom titles, from "Sunday, Bloody Sunday (1971), all the way back to 'A Taste of Honey" (1957?).
Both sort of homey, in a problematic way....but nobody comes ou5.

And I don't think I have to mention "Victim"()1961).

What am I talking for? I'm not a movie expert. Buy a cheap (or expensive ) copy of Vito Russo's The Celluloid Closet, or the film "The Celluloid Closet" and look for the '70s.

Not a gay TV movie, but "Message to My Daughter" (1973) dealt with abortion, and also starred Martin Sheen. I managed to sneak all of these films, in the 70s, without my parents knowing.
