Which AKA title is the Unedited version?

Does anyone know if the unedited version of Terror House is under one of it's AKA titles? and if it is, which one?

reply

The only known version is the one going around under the names 'The Folks at Red Wolf Inn', and 'The Terror House'.

As far as i have been able to research all versions run approx. 98mins.

"Folks at Red Wolf Inn" is, I believe, the original U.S. theatrical title.
It was so released (at least in Los Angeles) in 1972 with an "R" rating.

I don't know why virtually every source incorrectly lists "Terror House" as the original title. This is probably because this more exploitive moniker has been used for nearly every video release. However, MPAA Code and Ratings records show that title belonging to the edited 1976 reissue, rated PG.

Which version (and video company) was released with the tagline "You must see it, from the beginning!"?
Does anybody know? I'm curious about that one.. heh.

reply

Really? NO, that can't be true.
I've heard that the uncut and unedited version runs for 87 minutes in total.

I found an old Greek video release by "Precision Video" titled TERROR ON THE MENU that is a PAL tape running 79 minutes and has the two scenes mentioned as missing on the main comments page here. Is there any record of what may have been included in the missing footage? It "felt" more or less complete to me. Great movie!

Although not a fan of this film i was propelled to reply.
Im in England and i bought this as a kid in 1990 with my spending movey...it went by the name Terror on the Menu...it had an inviting video sleeve...so i bought it..for 50 pence.....it was only ever found in pound stores and wasn't even available in video rental stores to my knowledge...i remember the back of the sleeve having pictures that didn't correspong with the film...and i remember the film having no gore to speak of...needless to say i only watched it once and i think i eventually threw my copy away...and even though i didn't like it....seems wrong to throw something away that has now become quite a rare film...
