My friends and i are trying to find the top ten scariest movies (not the exorcist of friday the 13th) or those movies, but different horror that is REAlly scary. Is this worth watching if we want to be terrified? Or at least scared?
This movie is one of my personal favorites of the horror genre, but it wouldn't make my top ten list of the scariest. It's creepy fun, like scary stories kids tell while huddled around the campfire. Though I must admit, the story with Joan Collins and the escaped Psycho Santa still gets under my skin and terrifies me! And the one with Peter Cushing breaks my heart. Certainly worth seeing if you like horror. I wish this would be put on DVD in the US, so more people could enjoy it.
Oddly enough, I saw this when I was younger and didn't find it too disturbing or scary (although I was bothered by the opening of the killer Santa segment), but just recently I watched the trailer on YouTube and found it very chilling.
