6/10. Here's why:

Instead of talking about each segment, I'll mention what bothered me about TALES FROM THE CRYPT as a whole. It doesn't make sense that the main characters don't have any signs of death on them. They're not even wearing the same clothes than the ones they wore when they died. Now, I can forgive that because those are little details, but what about RALPH JASON? During WISH YOU WERE HERE, it's specifically said that he will never die. Ummm... Then what the *beep* is he doing at the Crypt?!

You can read comments of other movies (including the sequel) at http://vits-ingthemovies.blogspot.cl/2015/10/comments-round-up-september-2015.html

Any thoughts?

If i remember correctly they also wore different clothes in the crypt. Anyway i don't think this is a reason to rate lower if those things you mentioned are the only you didn't like.
I personally interpret it this way, they died and got buried. It the crypt (which later we found it's actually a gate for hell) is not their material corpse, but their souls so that's why injuries are not present.
Carl Maitland woke in the woods and finds out later that he's a zombie, he also doesn't have scars or other skin damage because is the crypt it's his soul not his dead corpse.
As well it goes for Ralph Jason which in real world is kind of "alive" but his soul left his corpse when he died of a heart attack and joined the others.

* In "Reflection of Death" segment we have a twist in the final part of story and find that Carl Maitland only dreamt the car crash and him being a zombie, shortly after he awakens in the car from his nightmare their car crashes for real.
So the zombie scene could be just his dream and he might actually died for real and instantly in the car crash.

Your theories are very good, but that doesn't excuse the movie. It's not like they wanted us to interpret it that way, right?

They're not the only things I didn't like. That's why I said "Instead of talking about each segment".
