It was implied Ralph made some shady business deals and screwed people over so he could get to the top. The Bible speaks against greed and says "The love of money is the root of all evil" so that sounds like a good reason for him to go to Hell to me. Also I wouldn't say being cruel and ruthless to others in the name of acquiring material things sounds very Christlike. After all, the Bible also says to lay up your treasures in Heaven rather than Earth.
I also think many would agree that leaving your wife and children to fend for themselves without even informing them you're doing so is a horrible thing to do. Especially since it was only to be with the woman he was cheating with (adultery, against the 10 Commandments). Can you imagine being a child and waking up one day to discover your father is gone and you're never going to see him again? The very least they deserved was an explanation. I don't think any person with morals could ever do such a thing, so I see why he was taken to Hell as well.
It makes perfect sense to me.

Certainly makes you feel that doing the right things in life are definitely worth it, considering what those five people got.
