That is what this film seems like to me. It seems like a good bad movie that in not having production values that are that high has the very quality that some good movies try too hard to get which is entertainment value if the reviews of this film are any indication.

I think it's a good movie due to the way it handles the protagonist. with these type of movies you expect the man to be wronged and he goes on a justified revenge mission, a crusader if you will. in fact what we get is a very flawed individual. We also never truly know how/why his father died. The things that the girl he kidnaps at the end says to him are spot on and exposes what he really is. In the end we realise that although the other men in the story are not nice individuals and are probably justifiably killed. Tim is actually just as bad or even worse than them. The vietnam war has had a major impact on his mental health and contributed to his complete loss of identity. To paraphrase,'The white man sent the red man to kill the yellow man'. In the end even the snakes turn on him.
