complements 2001

Even Tarkovsky may have intended this as an answer to 2001 but I personally feel Solaris complements 2001, 2001 looks outwards whereas Solaris looks inwards its more about introspection and individuality whereas 2001 looks at species as a whole, Solaris is warm whereas 2001 is cold ,its like femininity and masculinity even though they are opposites they compliment each other that is why I have always regarded them as an unofficial series
