What's the point in that visual screen? Im talking about the television broadcast. Im talk ing about certains moments when the screen goes black and white for no reason.... or there is a reason.
shareI think as a rule it's because we're watching the character's home movie, or a TV programme, or a dream. Dream is certainly what Tarkovsky uses B/W for in "Sacrifice", so it probably is here also.

It's one of Tarkovsky's trademarks. I don't believe there is a point in a narrative sense. It's more to create or enhance a mood.
