Great,unexpected chase finale

The chase at the end between the Plymouth and the Mercedes was surprising.I was not expecting such a long, fast-paced chase scene.I think a lot of it was sped up for effect but it was still pretty riveting.Why is this chase scene not better known or recognized? I thought it was a great way to end the movie and had good stunt work.
