Questions About "Skyjacked"

I think that it is a good, well-made thriller in general. But, I do have questions:

(SPOILERS, naturally)

1.) Why did they put the Federal Guy in the forward hold, with absolutely no cold-weather gear whatsoever?

2.) Mariette Hartley as the pregnant woman: So, it's "better" to have her in labor and give birth on a hijacked airliner that could be blown up at any second than have her sent down the slide so she can be safe and give birth in a hospital?

3.) James Brolin's character has zero response to everyone in the back escaping out the back of the aircraft. You would think that he wouldn't be happy at their escaping.

Regardless, the production got a whole lot out of their $1.7 million budget. Impressive, I thought.
