Exemplary use of flashbacks

Now this is the way how to do flashbacks, no explanations, keep it at a level that is not tied to social changes and cultures, but something that is timeless and relatable, allow the audience to fill the gaps to imagine what it might mean, this is the kind of filmmaking that gives more credit to audience's imagination. So much character development in this film is happening very subtly. Notice how the flashbacks get ingrained in your brain so much more, because our mind naturally starts wondering and imagining as a result, it is far more employed due to the visual visceral narrative, instead of just intellectual. It goes back the the idea that simplicity is more powerful.
