If I didn't have so many "wants" on my dvd list I'd be tempted to buy it. I haven't seen it in 35 years but I recall it was a very effective, intense disaster movie, certainly well done for a TV movie.

Yes it was very good for a 1972 tv-movie. Funny how I remember some things. I thought their was a shot when we saw the black lady's wig in the water. Maybe that was another movie I saw. Glad I have the homemade DVD copy now to refresh my memory. I sat here yesterday enjoying it, glued to the tv set.

This film can now be seen on YouTube. The quality is definitely watchable, and while the film is old, it holds up fairly well actually. One of the best Made for TV movies ever.
NBC, CBS and ABC really should remaster several of these old classics and put them on DVD.
Purchased my print from Modcinema in 12/11. Very good quality for the age. No terrorist scenes either. This is the earthquake version.
