Did you actually see it then?

Yes I did. Not worth it. It was in Italian with English subtitles, so Bette's voice was dubbed, and as you know, that voice of hers was half the fun, so her performance really suffered. Film itself was just ok.

It's a pity the English version seems to be impossible to find. I was lucky enough to see the English version of the other Italian movie Bette Davis did (La noia/The empty canvas). An ok movie, mostly because of Bette. Without her real voice it wouldn't have been much fun to watch it.
