I loved this movie when I first saw it at age 12, so I was thrilled to be able to see it again this weekend. While watching it I found myself wondering if it was filmed at or around Nepenthe and Big Sur. Does anyone know?
shareI too remember seeing the movie when it came out. I too thought of Big Sur. The way the restaurant is perched on the hillside has a similar feeling, but this place is not nearly as high above the water as Nepenthe, and even allowing for the decor having been embellished for the movie, the layout and furnishings (esp. the black leatherette padded booths) are nothing like Nepenthe's.
