When asked how he had decided that he was God, Peter O'Toole replies, "I found that whenever I prayed to God, I was talking to myself." Second best: George C. Scott in "The Flim-flam Man": You can sell a man anything on God's green earth if you can convince him it's stolen.
i agree that line was very funny lol, also, when Dr Herder is showing him the cue cards and asking Otoole what they cards remind of him, he replies God a few times, then Dr Herder says , well if it didnt remind you of God , what else would it remind you of? Otoole "an inkblot" lol
and Tucker the butler saying to Dr herder (who he did not get along with) "Dr Herder , Mr Mckyle is here....." Dr herder "well show in right in" Tucker" certainly , i'll just lie down on the doorstep and let him walk over me "LOL
I feel that Bertie the vicar and his theatrical way of expressing worry also deserves mention. Such as during the reading of the will, when it adorns on him that neither he nor the church has been mentioned therein, he utters: "Oh, by the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea we wept... LOL LOL
When JC is going through a series of experiments with Dr. Herder he is shown a series of pictures and asked to say what they remind him of, he says God to all of them which leads to the following exchnge
Doc: God? They all remind you of god?
JC: Yes. Everything it is or ever shall me reminds me of me.
Doc: And if it didn't remind you of you what would it remind you of?
