I've seen this film twice and never caught a glimpse of her. Where is she?

Oh man, the *beep* piled up so fast in Vietnam you needed wings to stay above it.

Cassandras Peterson (Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark) is uncredited in the movie but does appear in the film as she is listed here as "uncredited" on the Internet Movie Database. I have only seen this movie once but I don't recall seeing Elvira anywhere. One would have to look at the whole movie and pause on all scenes which feature women. She is most likely in the following scenes:

Fellini is directing a movie about Rome in the early 70's before he is interrupted by a tour bus with American tourists on it. They walk out of the bus and praise Fellini's work and do their whole middle-class American tourist thing and take photos.

The underground subway station brothel. There are many women of all shapes and sizes in this scene and something tells me not all of them are Italian women.

Remember this is 1972 so Cassandra Peterson may look very different, and she would be a lot younger.

It's more likely that she appears near the end, possibly as one of the glam American hippies at the People's Festival of Trastavere. She may even be the gothic looking girl who spins round to face the camera just before the Gore Vidal scene. That girl was very Elvira, which would be surprising considering it was years before she did Elvira. Maybe she got the inspiration from Roma.

I think it is the prostitute that young Fellini goes up the elevator with... the scary-looking but beautiful one.

That prostitute didnt look anytrhing like Cassandra Peterson.Too heavy, too old and too Italian looking. She would have been in one of the contmporary scenes.

reply

you're right - she would have only been 19 or 20 in this movie.

She's sitting next to Gore Vidal.

I had this thread in mind while watching the movie today, and if she's in the movie at all, this is the closest I could find to anyone that even might resemble her.

The girl on the far left of the frame in the blue dress. It does sort of maybe look like a young version of what little I've seen of a younger Peterson without the Elvira getup. Maybe. If that's not her, then she's either in the background somewhere random or she isn't in the movie at all.
