Why all the posts?

Why after all this time did lots of people post around the end of August? Did they show it on TV or something?

Not the greatest film, but a notable anti-government theme that was fairly novel for a big studio at that time - who were ever-wary of being accused of a lack of patriotism during the Vietnam War.
