What hotel was used for the King Edward Hotel?

I was just watching the 2011 film IN TIME, and there is a scene in a hotel lobby that looks exactly like the lobby in the King Edward Hotel in PRIVATE PARTS. So, I'm guessing that the lobby is in a real hotel, not just an elaborate set. Does anybody know the name of the hotel that "played" the King Edward Hotel? I'm assuming that it's in Los Angeles.

Hey - there actually is a hotel in downtown l.a. called the king edward. I was smitten by the place in all its seedy charm when I first saw it in P.P. and then I saw the hotel in an episode of the tv show Starsky and Hutch which is also in L.A. Lo and behold I looked it up on Google and the place is still standing and does still indeed operate as a motel! And from the reviews it got it's every bit as seedy as it was in the 70s. I thought that was pretty wild. So apparently it's the real deal.

I added the King Edward Hotel under filming locations for this film.

I've seen that main lobby of the King Edward Hotel used in a couple of other films as well. However, I don't know if the actual hotel had a different name, or if it really was called the King Edward. Some Angelenos probably know the answer to that.
