Bar/Restaurant locale

I'd like to know where the bar/restaurant scene was shot. Really cool western bar! Was this in Tucson, or in one of the New Mexico filming locations?

It's been awhile since I viewed the movie, but it has always been one of my favorites. I was twelve years old when Lee Marvin and Paul Newman were seen in that beautifully ancient convertible cruising the Ajo city plaza. Ajo, Arizona is sadly left out of any of the movie details that I can find, even though it is a fact that a good portion of the plot was set a Mexican town where a bank is being targeted to be robbed by Newman & Marvin. I remember when crew workers changed the bank and other business signs to Spanish, and our scenic town plaza was roped off for filming of that previously mentioned memorable scene. My guess is that the restaurant/bar locale was also filmed in Ajo, which certainly deserves proper credit for it's lovely and scenic settings.

I researched this out and found out that it was the
Mountain Oyster Club atop the Pioneer Hotel, 1973.

Apparently the club opened in 1948 in the basement of the Santa Rita
Hotel, a location dubbed "The Passion Pit." They relocated to the top
of the Pioneer in 1965. In 1975, they moved to the Jacome Mansion at
Stone and Franklin. Finally in 2003 the club moved to it's current
location in the Ponds Mansion, AKA Stone Ashley, near Speedway and Wilmot.
